Community Involvement

  • Bedford Selectman, 2010-present.
  • Selectman liaison to the Capital Expenditures Committee, Finance Committee, Community Media Committee, Depot Park Advisory Committee, Council on Aging, Town Center, Inc., Historic District Commission and Bedford Chamber of Commerce, 2010-present.
  • Chairman, Bedford Ad Hoc Historical Museum Study Committee, 2014-2015.
  • Bedford Housing Authority, 1979-present.  Appointed by every Massachusetts Republican and Democratic Governor as the “state appointee” since 1979. 
  • Chairman of the Commissioners of the Bedford Housing Authority, 1986-2013.
  • Town Center, Inc. Board of Directors, 1981-present.  Non-profit group was formed to renovate and manage the old Union School as a town center building for meetings and activities.  Town Center, Inc. manages rentals at the Town Center, Old Town Hall, and the Budd Railroad Car at Depot Park.

    • Janet (Jennie) Moonan, a civil/environ-mental engineer/Project Manager for a MA consulting firm who specializes in municipal wastewater and storm water projects.  
    • Will Moonan, a flight test engineer for the US Army at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.
  • Resides with Carol at 18 Crescent Avenue.
